Since 1992, I have served as Research and Project Director for the Oklahoma Family Policy Council, based in Oklahoma City, which is associated with Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council. Theologically, I am an evangelical Christian dispensationalist and, politically, an economic and social conservative, trained by Morton C. Blackwell, Paul Weyrich, Steve Antosh, and Patrick B. McGuigan. My political heroes are Ronald Reagan, George Washington, Patrick Henry, William Wilberforce, Winston Churchill, and Margaret Thatcher. My favorite news magazine is WORLD, I regularly watch the FOX News Channel, listen to Chuck Colson's BreakPoint commentaries, and, yes, I am a C-SPAN and Book TV junkie. I love watching classic Westerns, war movies, romantic comedies, shows from TV's Golden Age, and all Warner Bros. cartoons voiced by Mel Blanc. In an unlikely embrace of popular culture, I also regularly watch 24 with Jack Bauer...er...Kiefer Sutherland! I also enjoy visiting art museums, traveling cultural exhibits, historical sites, presidential libraries, watching both the Oklahoma State Cowboys and Dallas Cowboys, and fine dining. A native of Tulsa, I now live in the Oklahoma City suburb of Edmond, which is Oklahoma's fastest growing city. Whenever possible, our family vacations in the San Juan Mountains of Southwestern Colorado, and we enjoy freshwater fishing, boating, and camping in Oklahoma. My beautiful (and busy) wife, Denise, aka "Beauty," and I have seven children, all of whom have been home-educated, and each of whom is a wonderful blessing from God. Married life with my Denise is SO fabulous; we are both greatly blessed to share our lives and love together. We worship together at Faith Bible Church, pastored by Dr. Mark Hitchcock, who enjoys a growing national reputation for his clear expository teaching and expertise in Biblical eschatology. At Faith Bible, Denise and I serve together on our marriage ministry team, which is an exciting outreach to both engaged and married couples. Our goal is to help couples to better understand and reflect in their own marriages the intimate, selfless, consuming love shared between Christ and His future bride, the Church. I love reading good books, reflecting on their intellectual ideas, and collecting good books. (I may even get them all read someday!)
