I have many cat books, childrens' classics and collect as many old childrens' books as I can get hold of. I don't like modern fiction aimed at adults as I struggle with abstract thoughts and have a child's mind so love stories of fantasy, beasts and ghosts and good and evil and stories like Secret Garden, Anne of Green Gables etc. I simply don't do those chick flick things and romance books and am not really even a fan of Jane Austin although i like the clothes of the period, I am more a Wuthering heights and Jane Eyre fan. I also have a large number of Arthurian books, both stories and history and spirituality behind the legend. I also love books about Victorian life and old remedies and recipes and anything about religion and spirituality, cutoms and folk lore.

I am Ali, early middle aged cat mad eccentric who reluctantly lives in North Wales. I have loved books since early childhood, well I was raised with them. I have a passion for History especially British History before the Reformation and the so called "dark ages". I escape in legend and fantasy and adore Arthurian legend and anything magical and full of unusual beasts, heroic men and beautiful ladies. I am also passionate about cats, well animals in general, but cats are special. I have worked in nursing but since poor health 9 years ago I volunteer with the National Trust and try and muddle through this odd thing called modern life ( I was born in the wrong period). I also have Asperger's syndrome so that means that whilst my IQ is exceptionally high I am 13 socially.
