I have hundreds of books and have read thousands over my lifetime. I love reading and giving books for others to enjoy but I must admit there are favorities I just can't part with. I particularly like reading series books such as Stewart Woods (Stone Barrington series, along with his other series characters). I especially like Lee Child's Reacher series - even my husband who is not a reader enjoys them. Since buying a Kindle and Kindle Fire, I use that almost exclusively...bonus is that I have introduced to lots of new authors to me that I would have not known about without that service. Now I just have to find new homes for my old books that are taking up too much space. Unfortunately, I am allergic to dust and you know what dust collectors books are! Of course, I have let that prevent me from reading = my favorite pastime...

I'm 66 and have been an avid reader since 5th grade. I work for a municipality as a Community Development Assistant. Reading is my passion. I also very much enjoy listening to audio books when my eyes are tired or I'm going back and forth to work or on a trip. A good reader makes all the difference in the listening experience. Holter Grahm (Nicholas Sparks) and Laural Merlington (Fern Michaels) are two prime examples. Susan Ericksen (J. D. Robb) is another favorite. I've listened to them so frequently that when I'm reading a book in the series, I can almost hear them reading the story. On the other hand, a bad reader makes even a good book painful to listen to.
