Advertisement text (3 March): "At Public Auction On Friday next at II 'oClock Afternoon, at the House of Capt. Ebenezer Stedman Innholder in Cambridge, Will be Sold. — THE LIBRARY of the late Henry Flynt, Esq; consisting of a large Number of very valuable BOOKS, on a Variety of Subjects. To be seen any Time before the Sale at the House of Mr. Jonathan Sprague, in said Cambridge."

Advertisement text (17 March): "TO-MORROW, being the 18th Inst. Will be Sold by Public Auction, At the House of Cap. Ebenezer Stedman, in Cambridge, about Two Hundred valuable Books on various Subjects; being the remainder of the Library of the late Henry Flynt, Esq.

Will: "My Will is That my Library be sold at Vendue or otherwise according to the Discretion of my Executors and the Produce of it with so much more as shall be needful of my personal Estate, to make up the sum of Seven Hundred Pounds Old Tenor, or Ninety Three Pounds, Six Shillings and Eight pence lawful Money, be given to Harvard College in Cambridge in New England, and my Will is that the Annual Interest of said sum by paid annually to the Four Tutors of the said College ..."
