Advertisement text (Massachusetts Gazette, 19 September): "To be sold by Auction, on Monday the 30th Instant at 3 o'Clock Afternoon; The Library of the Rev. Dr. John [sic] Cutler, deceas'd, at his Mansion-House at the North End of the Town, near the Church; consisting of a large and valuable Collection of Authors, both ancient and modern—Likewise sundry Articles of House-Furniture—at 3 o'Clock, P.M. N.B. The above Sale may afford to some Gentlemen of Fortune and Generosity, that are Friends to Learning, an Opportunity to purchase some valuable Tracts for the College—not to be procured elsewhere."
