Preserving Literature

For a long time, it has been my belief that it is no longer a fantasy that we will one day lose the printed word. One day, it will all be in machines like Kindle, or nonexistent at all.
One of my great fears is that my children and their children will live in a world with no literature, no fiction, anyway. Nonfiction will always be there, but to do away with the stories woven by other authors would be criminal.
Here in Lakewood, WA, we signed pledges that, should publishing houses ever close, we would preserve our books in vaults for future generations. All those who think along these lines are welcome to join and discuss this; I won't kick you out if you sit there and call me crazy, either. Feel free.
Also, the picture is not my proposed solution ;) It's metaphorical. TO ENCAPSULATE AND PROTECT WORLDS - the world being books, anyway. You get the picture. I'll shut up now.
