CCFA's Governor General's Literary Awards
"The Canada Council for the Arts funds, administers and promotes the Governor General’s Literary Awards. Each winner receives a cheque for $15,000 and a specially-crafted copy of the winning book bound by Montreal bookbinder Lise Dubois. The Governor General also presents certificates to the publishers of the winning books, and the Canada Council will provide each publisher with a $3,000 grant to support promotional activities for the winning book. "
This is a group where we can discuss Works that are nominated for or have won Governor General's Awards. Often these works go on to earn other prestigious literary prizes. Look for the past contenders and winners at the site below. And please jump in with comments, opinions or discussion about any of the GGLA books.
