2601 Kansas: A History of the Jayhawk State, by William Frank (read 30 Apr 1994) This is a 1957 history of Kansas. It is not a good book. Kansas has an interesting history but this book does not tell it. There is one sentence on Carrie Nation! He mentions Sockless Jerry Simpson but does not tell his story. He just narrates haphazardly the political records, and gives no analysis or narrative of things he mentions. This book was a failure.
