Didn't do anything else until I finished this book. For anyone who experiences the cages and injustices that turn women into monsters. This book uses Greek mythology as a lens through which to examine our understanding of how women should exist in our society. Read it now.

I’m still trying to process my reaction to this; the author talking about how Roe v Wade could be overturned was rough listening after this rage-inducing week. There was more memoir here which bugged me some (odd considering how much I usually love it); it’s possible that the author just knew a lot of awful men, but the repetition of the awfulness bothered me. I do love that the focus here was on the monsters (all coded female) of mythology and also showed that the male “heroes” weren’t really at all.… (más)
