This almost got 4 stars but for the fact that several of the stories were based around government type agencies that the various heros are working with or for. In itself this isn't a bad thing, if you're into that kind of superhero story, but for my part I prefer the more personal stories about their trials and tribulations. Frank Byrns always comes through for me there and deserves 5 stars all on his own. None of the stories are bad, as such, but there are a good few here that are merely average.

Having said all this, this was, and is still free to download, and given that fact I'd recommend anyone give it a try, if only for the Frank Byrns and one or two others.

This was a lot cuter than I was expecting. It was difficult for me to fully invest myself in the book, but once I got to about the half-way mark, I sped through it. It was fun, heartbreaking, and relatable. The struggle of a first heartbreak was very realistic.

I really liked almost every character. At times, Isla did annoy me, but overall I really liked her. Though frustrating, her feelings toward both Nate and Emory did seem realistic. My favorite character, though, was Bastian. He reminded me a lot of one of my own friends, so it was easy to connect to him.

I was sort of hoping for Isla to get over Nate without another relationship, but I'm still pretty happy with how the book ended. The chemistry between Emory and Isla was amazing, as well as the chemistry between the entire group. I adored watching them become closer and help Isla.

I really liked Young's writing style as well, so I'm definitely going to look into her other works. If you're a fan of young adult novels, I highly suggest reading this one.

Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book via Lola's Blog Tours. This did not influence my opinion in any way.

*I WAS APPROVED OF MY REQUEST AND PROVIDED WITH A PHYSICAL ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION*

My brain hurts just thinking about ways to sum this book up in a way that makes it look as good as it is.

Cheyanne Young is—not only the author of this book but also—a shop owner I rep for on Instagram. So, you can see how nervous I was when this book finally made it into my hands? VERY.

BUT THAT NERVOUSNESS WAS LONG FORGOTTEN AFTER THE PROLOGUE FREAKING DEMOLISHED MY HEART AND SOUL!!! (Yes, caps were absolutely needed to express this.)

The Last Wish of Sasha Cade is—to put it simply—a heart wrenching, gut-punching, tear-jerking, sob-worthy read. Everything about this book was absolutely perfect, and I am so thankful to have had my request approved by the publisher KCP Loft.

I sat in class, reading this book while I was wallowing in my own natural self-pity that is depression, and nearly began to cry from feelings. This book brought out emotions I didn't even know I had, and I absolutely loved it!

The first thing I pegged when reading was on the first page of the entire book.

"...Sasha told me not to think of it like that. She didn't want the cancer to be the bad guy here."

As someone who has watched multiple loved ones suffer and pass away from cancer, I've often seen it as the bad guy. But in this book's case, cancer was portrayed as the hero. Had Sasha not gotten cancer, Elijah likely would've never been introduced. Had Sasha not gotten cancer, Raquel wouldn't have gone on the awesome adventure her friend had left for her and Eli. Had Sasha not gotten cancer, THIS BOOK NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED!

SO, to put it simply, I absolutely adored and loved everything that was this book. I was stunned into my seat, unable to speak without a tear or two slipping from my eyes. I IGNORED MY CLASSES AND LESSONS JUST TO FINISH THIS BOOK, DARN IT!

The characters were well developed throughout the entirety of the novel; the plot was well driven and well executed, and I loved being able to read this plot from Cheyanne's writing style. If someone were to ask me what book I currently suggest, it'd be this freaking heart wrecker right here!

So, if you don't believe you should read this book, perhaps you should reread this entire review. I am unashamedly giving The Last Wish of Sasha Cade by Cheyanne Young 5/5 stars for wrecking my entire life and giving me something to smile about.

I received a book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Last Wish of Sasha Cade was a remarkable book about love and loss. Cheyanne Young thoroughly ripped my heart out at the beginning, but she slowly tapes the pieces back together as the story progresses.

Despite dying really early on, I felt like Sasha was a very prominent character within the story. She left letters and video messages, cards and personal items, so it was like she was still there in a lot of ways. I think it helped both Raquel and Elijah to be reminded of her often, and Sasha went above and beyond to create unique adventures for them. I really enjoyed seeing what Sasha had planned for her favorites, and I'm glad she spent some of her last moments crafting something so thoughtful and spectacular.

At first I was a little frustrated with Sasha's one rule, but it makes sense later on. I could tell it was killing Raquel to keep the secret, and I would have been bursting to spill it myself. Who wouldn't want to tell the world about Elijah? He may have been secretive, but he really did get the shit end of the stick when it comes to childhoods. The guy has persevered and overcome many obstacles to get where he is today, and he still manages to find time for Raquel and whatever Sasha might have them do next. He was so sweet and always there for Raquel in the ways that mattered.

I was a little worried about Elijah at the beginning. He was too hesitant to talk about himself, and it felt like he was hiding something. Not an I-killed-someone-and-dumped-their-body-in-a-river vibe, but like he was is trouble and didn't want to get anyone else involved. I wish he had opened up to Raquel sooner, but I really liked their slow-burn romance. When something finally happens (in like the best possible place), it was perfection. It was seriously everything I wanted for the two of them.

I loved Sasha, Raquel, and Elijah! I also adored the secondary characters and thought they all played important roles. Raquel's father is gone a lot for work, but he makes time for his family when he's home. He knows when something is wrong with his daughter, and he wants to be there for her when he can. Additionally, I liked how much all of the adults seemed to care about the children. They were invested in their lives and asked important questions. Izzy, at the flower shop, is a beautiful person. It would be lovely if all bosses were as kind and considerate.

I wish Raquel had loved herself as much as she loved Sasha.

If you're looking for a sweet romance, awesome friendships, and a fantastic story, The Last Wish of Sasha Cade has all of that and more.
