Donald Wright

I know shamefully little about the country I live in so I thought I should pick up a few books on it, like this one. It talks mostly about the history of Canada, each chapter starting from the beginning of a topic and finishing at the present. It describes when the first European's landed; the injustices done to the indigenous; Quebec and its identity within Canada; all the protests for various rights; the North and what it means; and other topics.
It serves as a good, broad introduction to Canada, and the many issues that has faced Canada. Also, Canada is so damn big.… (más)
