Stargate The DVD Collection was a bi-monthly magazine partworks that started in 2004 and ran for 90 issues and 91 DVDs (including the 18 rated 'Children of the Gods').

The collection comprised:
SG1 seasons 1-10
Atlantis seasons 1-3

The magazine was cancelled due to dwindeling readership; probably not helped by the clumsy way that the collection suddenly stopped short from publishing the final season of SG1 by forcing its readers to wait seven months while it switched story lines to cover the first two seasons of Atlantis.
The magazines themselves were nothing special and gave little information that was not already presented in the TV shows and often included more than a few technical inaccuracies.
The DVDs themselves were not much better. The lack of any extras was to be expected, but I was not prepared for just how horrible the basic text only menus would look, with generic budget style backgrounds the type you'd expect from some dodgy free-ware DVD authoring software from the late 1990s. It was an utter embarrassment that no-one seemed bothered to fix right up until disc 77, when they finally did something by adding cast photos and related graphics. Why this was not done properly from the start Ra only knows!

Unless, like me, you simply MUST HAVE french language versions included, I'd opt for one of the UK boxed sets.
'Stargate the DVD Collection' does have French and German language options as well as subs in all languages on offer including English, while the UK retail packages offer English, German and Spanish.
The only other cool factor you could say about this set is the DVD spine collage that appears once you complete the full set and stand them up in order, but even this fails in places with image drop-outs where the graphic design fails to keep up with the developing panorama resulting in missing pieces of the visual puzzle.
Still it does seem to screem out from the book shelf "PLAY ME!" and often gets its wish, as does my BSG boxed set tin.

1.Mennyttä kalua osa I
SG-1:llä on vastassaan kaksi katastrofia valovuosien päässä toisistaan; huomattava energian voimistuminen Stargåtessa uhkaa tuhota Maan ja Teal'c palaa kotiinsa vain löytääkseen vaimonsa kuolleena, poikansa vieraantuneen ja planeettansa hyökkäyksen kohteena!
2. Mennyttä kalua osa II
Teal'cin taistellessa poikansa kanssa Maan pelastamiseksi O'Neill tarttuu uuden tähtien väisen avaruusaluksen, X-3:n ohjaimiin. Tämän on tarkoitus kuljettaa Stargåte turvalliselle etäisyydelle Maasta jotta sen voi räjäyttää. Kysymys kuitenkin kuuluu: voiko Stargåte jatkaa toimintaansa ilman sitä?
3. Syvyyksissä
SG-1 tutkii hylättyä Goa'uld-alusta Maan kiertoradalla. Pelastusoperaation aikana sabotoijat hyökkäävät ja alus syöksyy maahan - syvälle meren syvyyksiin. Valoitettavasti O'Neill miehistöineen on sen sisällä loukussa... ja aika on käymässä vähiin.
4. Jäätynyt
Etelänapamantereelta löytyy jäätynyt nainen, jonka uskotaan olevan 50 miljoonaa vuotta ihmisrotua vanhempi. Kyseessä saattaa olla jopa Stargåten keksineen lajin edustaja. SG-1 onistuu elvyttämään naisen henkiin mutta käykin ilmi että tämä saattaa olla hengenvaarallisen viruksen kantaja.
