Brian Wren is English by birth and Reformed by tradition. He is Emeritus Professor of Worship at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. As an internationally published hymn-poet, he has entries in denominational hymnals in North America, Britain, and Australia. Brian holds undergraduate mostrar más and doctoral degrees from Oxford University. A retired Minister of the United Reformed Church (UK), he is a Fellow of the Hymn Society U.S. and Canada. An interesting collection of recent hymns (NOT praise songs of the contemporary variety). Words only; music not included, tunes not suggested. Those worshipers who value traditional Christian hymns will find these newer hymns entirely appropriate for current worship experiences. Some of these recently-written hymns are poetry of significant quality and are also highly effective for personal worship and meditation even if only read instead of being sung.
