Bonnie Worth is a published author of children's books. It is one of the pen names of Kate Klimo, who was also Vice President and Publisher of Random House Children's Books. Adventure
As the Cat and Co. mingle with reindeer, musk oxen, polar bears, caribou, and all sorts of penguins, they discover how the animals stay warm in freezing temperatures, why it's colder at the South Pole than at the North Pole, that one pole is located on land and the other isn't, and how scientists are studying climate change to keep both poles icy cold.
The disjoint between the Dr. Seuss style illustrations and the non-rhyming text is strong. Otherwise passable, no better.
Cute little rhymes lead us through adorable pictures of Pooh and Roo making a cake for a friend's special day.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:
