A really wonderful book about our current President. I didn't know much about his early years in the senate so that was very educational for me. I also loved hearing about the man separate from his public accomplishments and that made him much more human to me. Not just a figure that you vote for without knowing about his character.

An old-school political biography by an old-school journalist. I miss the days when I could read about major political figures without having to know on which network(s) the author does and does not offer scathing "analysis". This book was a breath of fresh air. Of course, much of the material had been written years ago, but I learning the backstory of our political leaders. It helps me understand better their actions.

Good bio, well written, only a little biased in Biden's favor.

It is quite surprising how much data is in this book that was unknown to me notwithstanding my interest and heavy pursuit of American political history. It's not that I claim vast knowledge, just that like the office it pursues, a lot of the information here is obscure.
