I love this book because it is a collection of breathing techniques that children can use to calm down. Sometimes the illustrations are in calming and soothing colors. Meanwhile, some breathing exercises are more energetic and the illustrations reflect this. The author and illustrator worked really well together to create a great collection of breathing techniques and art to go along with it! The author also writes in a poetic manner, such that you can feel the energy flowing through the sentences. Again, sometimes the energy is calming and sometimes it is full of energy, completely appropriate for each breathing exercise. Besides the literal imagery, the author uses fantastic adjectives to help the reader feel like they are in the scene they have created. This is a lovely book to read as an entrance to meditation and mindfulness in general! This collection does an excellent job at creating a scene both through words and art!… (más)
