In my journey, in fact, of every woman’s journey [especially their young teenage daughters] in trying to be a good Christian, there is always an ever-growing relationship with the Lord. We come to be familiar with; we come to follow, and we come to serve our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. While all this might be true, there are underlining questions that I’ve found in my journey needing to get answered.

The starting point and biggest of these questions is, do we relish being in a relationship with the Lord? Followed by, are we theoretically obliged to relish it? Moreover, is this an actual possibility? By studying scripture in my journey, I have the answer to be a resounding YES. Yet, at the same time, I have found an occasional encumbrance that exists when some individuals attempt to follow the Lord.

The author, Melanie Wilber, has done for this book is to break down the various components necessary to begin enjoying the Lord in the manner He wants us to. In each of her 25+ chapters, Ms. Wilber begins with a scripture associated with the chapter’s title, then proceeds to elaborate on the chapter with additional scripture backing her up.

In the end, Ms. Wilbur fulfills her intention in having her readers transform their feelings about their relationship with the Lord and allow themselves to experience a great myriad of sensations for their lives in a way they’ve never done before. It is for this reason, I’ve given Ms. Wilbur the 5 STARS she justly deserves.

The Lighthouse by Melanie Wilber
Cute short story about a girl heading off to college, she's nervous and fears what the future will hold.
She has help from a man as she's taking her things up to her room to only find out she's rooming with his sister.
They form a bond and they lead her to finding Jesus and the difference he can make in her life.
She then reaches out to her best friend telling her of the experiences she's had with Jesus and it can work for her also.
Love the locations as we've been to several in the Oregon area and can't wait to go back to explore more.
Real touching story with a great ending.
