Hugh Morgan is dead and the jury thinks that it is an animal attack. But his friend, Harker narrates a terrifying story while they were hunting. The coroner found a diary of Morgan where he has mentioned about some animals who can emit sonic waves.

What killed Hugh Morgan? Was it something supernatural or alien?

I really liked the suspense of the story. And, it was not like any usual Ambrose Bierce's stories. Instead it sounded like a sci-fi.
