Peter Westland

Westland's messages, first published in 1946, hold almost entirely good today, though I suspect few of those who would benefit most will have patience to plough through this somewhat wordy book given today's trend of limited attention spans. Although he leaves it to the last chapter he rightly emphasises the 'physical' - the look and feel of the speaker. But he misses something I learned in my days as a frequent speaker at conferences, how to 'take charge of the situation' when you first rise to speak.… (más)
