Spring for Sophie is a book about the signs that spring is coming. Sophie is a curious girl who eager to know when spring is on the way. She ask her mom and she says you have to listen. Sophie waits and listens. She starts to hear birds chirping. It was still child outside so she asked her dad about spring. He told her to use her feet to feel the ground. It will tell her when spring is coming. She kept looking at her feet until she felt the slippery mud under her. She knew spring was getting closer, but spring was still not here yet. Her mom told her the use her nose and eyes to tell when spring is here. You'll smell and see it change everyday. She noticed all kinds of changes around her like plants growing, other animals coming out, and smelled the rain coming. She finally knew spring was here. This would be a good book to start off spring. You can have the kids notice changes in their own surroundings.… (más)
