"Exodus is the second book written by God's great leader Moses. The book's title means "road out." Exodus records the departure of God's people from their slavery in Egypt and the beginning of their journey to the Promised Land. In the third month of that journey, Moses and the people came to Mount Sinai, where God gave them his law." -- written on the back of the book.
