Weltin (read 8 Oct 1973) Back in those days I had a memory project and knew all the Popes and the dates of their reigns, and had read 33 of the 40 volumes of Pastor's work and most of Mann's (I have since finished both works, and so have read all 40 of Pastor's volumes and all 19 of Mann's). This volume covered the Popes from St. Peter to Sixtus III, whose reign was from 432 to 440. Some of the early Popes were pretty shadowy figures, with not much known about them.… (más)
