Not bad. About Tabitha who is new to a school in Yr7 and decides to act out what every teacher expects her to be - noisy, prankster, etc. She makes friends with two girls for being "out there" and decides to keep her persona going as it amuses her classmates and earns her popularity points. This is until something goes seriously wrong and she looks like she is facing expulsion. Will her new friends confess the truth about why they were on the roof or will Tabitha have to cop the entire blame and be expelled because her friends parents are so strict? Interesting side line with her parents divorce and the bond she shares with her Grandmother. For tweens. A story told in diary-style about life through the eyes of a 13 year old British girl. It's an easy read and illustrates the thoughts a middle school-aged female very well. Most of the characters are spot on (with the teenaged exaggerations included), although the mother's obsession with her daughter's weight kind of diminished the story a little. By the end of it, mom moved on to other things and redeemed herself (maybe dad will in the next book). Overall, a decent read for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid or Dork Diaries.

Read this as a teenager. I enjoyed it then but probably not now.
