The Romance of the Australian Land Industries by Robert Watt is a great review of Australia's farming history.

It primarily deals with pastures, livestock and cropping however viticulture and some general fruits & vegetables are also covered.

The book is divided into two sections: Colonial Australia covering 1788 to 1901 and Federal Australia which covers Australia post Federalisation from 1901 to the "present" which is 1955, the time of publishing.

It's a great book from the point of history but it's also got some still-relevant-today information as well.

Definitely an interesting read about early Australia.
