"Spicing Things Up" by Lisa Watson

My Speculation:

I enjoyed this short story of what Dylan Resse will do to get the love of his life...Cassia Hampton. The storyline was very intriguing in how this author presented it so well to the reader. One will be hooked on the story from the beginning till the end as you will get a little mystery, along with a bit of twist comes together in this delightful read. Will these two get what they want from each other as they spend a great vacation together? Well, you will have to pick up "Spicing Things Up" to see how this author will bring it all out to the reader.… (más)

ok dude I have been reading these books at the wrong sequence but again these books are considered standalones, I definitely liked this one better and again this is a new author for me, but I liked her. Whew I like men like Dro an alpha and who is known for Fixing this which is why he is known as “The Fixer” , and now something that he was truly not ready for, love. However it comes to him in the form of Lola, and even though he was not ready he will keep her safe at all costs, and while he does that pesky thing called love knocks at his door....
rcvd an ARC at no cost to author...netgalley (voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions

This is a hard review for me to write because I struggled to keep up with the story but also was intrigued as to where it was going. This is likely because it told the many different stories at once ad I was struggling to make sense of it. at about 50% of the way I finally was able to see where this was going.

This book is just an introduction about how the characters all became part of The Castle. In future books, these individual characters will get their own story that ties them together with what this book was setting up. Once I realized that I liked the concept more. The stories will be written by many different authors.

However, that still didn't stop me from struggling with this story. I worry that other readers might have the same problem which would be a shame because I can REALLy see the potential here. I will definitely look for more of this in the future. There were definitely some characters that piqued my interest more than others.

Adrian and Milan's first meeting does not go well. They start out their relationship as enemies and over time become respectful friends and finally lovers. They recognize their own flaws and work toward improvement. In the style of romances we do indeed get our HEA at the end.

I loved Watson's inclusion bilingual dialogue. It's be a long time by since my high school Spanish classes, and I was amazed at how easy I found the Spanish to follow. No doubt the author put a lot of effort into making it both genuine and easy to understand from context.

My favorite part was the bouncy castle at the church fete. It was awesome.

I especially liked the timeline. It can take time to get to know someone and fall in love. Time passes in Love Contract at just the right pace for me.
