This was a helpful and wonderful resource. Whether you follow the path of the druid or just want to connect more with nature, you'll find this helpful. The book is broken down into various sections, and you can skip around if you like, but I read it cover to cover the first time, knowing I can go back later to reference the sections I want to focus on later. The section on trees was especially interesting to me, and I learned a lot about different trees, what they're associated with, and beliefs surrounding them. I’m looking forward to trying some of the suggestions in the daily practice and five-minute crafts sections as well. Definitely a resource I’ll be using over and over when I feel like I need to reconnect to the earth!… (más)

I hoped that this book would get closer to the real Anne of Cleves, the least known of all of Henry's wives. While the book does add some colour to the political environment in which the marriage was contracted and later annulled, Anne is still in the shadow as a woman around whom events happened.

One thing I did appreciate about this book was that it gave room to presenting contemporary accounts in a way that allowed the reader to follow events as they unfolded, rather than with the benefit of hindsight. The lengend of the "Flanders Mare" was firmly put to bed as being a comment first documented about 150 years after the events, and without any support from contemporary sources.

So while this book will help the reader to understand more about the times in which Anne lived, unfortunately you don't get any closer to the real woman.

Was anyone else completely unaware Charles I had daughters? Just me? History tends to gloss over those it deems unimportant, and I loved learning more about these women that had been shunted aside. Although not terribly in-depth this is very informative and an enjoyable read.

I quite enjoyed this.
More than half the book was about Henrietta Anne.
I'd have given 4 stars if it was just labeled as a biography of Henrietta Anne
