The Loula books are such cute stories, and they always have a little twist at the end.

I enjoyed this sweet tale of a little girl who just wants a sister to play with. The illustrations are whimsical, the plot is clever, and the outcome is both surprising and delightful. There are a few jokes for the parents, as well, but even without them, Loula and the Sister Recipe is a story parents won't mind reading with their little ones.

This is a cute and fun book to imagine with while reading. As a girl with two brothers I understand the frustration of being bothered by them. Young children will enjoy imagining while reading this book too.

Loula has had it with her pesky triplet brothers. She announces to her mother and her father that she is going as far away as she can, but it takes the family chauffeur to help her get to her destination-Africa!
