Samantha Smith is now living in London after fleeing from Montreal where she thinks she witnessed (what she believes to be) a murder. Disguising herself (with a British accent and a new look--changed hair color, clothes, etc.) she is trying to hide out in case she is being followed. But one day, while stopping in a hotel, she sees the man she believes to be dead (a prominent government official) stepping from the elevator. Is this the same man? Is he alive? Soon after Samantha begins to receive threats--letters, phone calls... A woman is almost kidnapped that resembles her. With the help of hotelier, Tony Theopoulos, they try to find some answers.

This was a fast-paced, captivating story, which I really enjoyed. I liked the lively and determined heroine. And I liked handsome hero Tony. At first he seemed skeptical when he heard Sam's story, but, as the book progressed, he became as determined as Sam to find some answers and to stop what could maybe be a potential assassination. This was a fun, entertaining read, with a good cast of characters and a lovely London setting.
