This book would be ideal for someone who hasn't read much erotica in the past and isn't quite sure what they are looking for. Rather than getting one long involved fantasy, this book gives you fourteen quite short stories covering a wide spectrum.

The writing is accessible, without too much florid prose to throw you off and it covers a wide range of the more usual fantasies--older woman/younger man, bored housewife, two female friends "discovering" each other, dirty mechanic...I think this book would be a really good thing to have around for a couple to use as a way to introduce each other to fantasies that they weren't sure how else to bring up. Very easy to read one of these stories to your partner and follow with a suggestive "so...you wanna?"

However, as a solo-enjoyment book, it just isn't as great. The stories are too short to really get involved in--I find that rather than wanting to reread any story, I can easily read the first paragraph and think "Oh, right, the one about making amateur porn," drop the book, and just do my own fantasizing. The writing is a bit too simplistic if you are a reader by nature, or if you've been exposed to more erotica in the past. It just doesn't manage to be evocative in any real way.

Overall, the book is great for couples or someone who hasn't had a chance to really figure out what gets them going--there is at least one fantasy in the book that will appeal to everyone.… (más)
