Reading Say It's For Good was special to me as I used to call the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina home. I am ashamed to say this was the first book of the series that I have read, but it will not be my last. I have been wanting to read this series for quite some time, but that old saying of so many books so little time is so true. I say all this to explain that this story can very much be read as a standalone. I would definitely recommend reading the whole series in order, but I was not confused in the least not having read the others first.

I just loved Leah and Jasper. They were real people battling real life issues while learning to fully depend on God and learn to depend on each other once again. I loved the other characters as well as the small town setting. This was a heartwarming read that was not afraid to tackle tough issues such as loss, grief, fear, forgiveness, etc.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series and more by this author.

Thank you to the author and publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

"What if happily ever after is really found by embracing the messy journey - together?"

It's so good to be back in Laurel Cove. This book brings together the previous main characters of the series all in one spot and seeing them again was like being at a long-awaited family reunion. Jasper is a steadfast and charming hero; his ready willingness to forgive Leah for their past and tenacity in pursuing her make him quite worthy. Leah is sweet but plagued by fear; the theme of overcoming fear and anxiety with promises from God and reminders of His faithfulness, as well as the promises and faithfulness of those who love us, is real and potent throughout the book. Jasper and Leah are quite cute and tender together as they reminisce about their first romance and take leaps of faith during their second chance.

If you're in the mood for a sweet contemporary romance, look no further. Though it's the fourth book in the series, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I received the book from the author and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All opinions are my own.

"I think she needs to experience the overwhelming joy of letting herself be pursued and found. Anyone can happen upon the lost, sort of like when you found her in the woods. But being pursued, searched for with intention and anticipation, that can really change a person's sense of worth."

Teresa Tysinger knows how to bring a small town in North Carolina, with its colorful and beautiful inhabitants, to life. She also knows how to thread growth, maturation, and forgiveness into a backstory of rejection, hurt, and anger to create an uplifting story filled with acceptance, sense of belonging and purpose. This story of Quinn and Eli is the perfect heart-warming story to cuddle up with on a rainy day.

Quinn is prickly and unlikable at the beginning of the story even when people try to help her after an injury. Her past unfolds with some recounted stories, flashbacks, and present day encounters with her grandmother and we get to see why Quinn has closed herself up so much. The blossoming of her personality and loving heart is pleasant to see as she grows in faith. Eli is so patient, kind, compassionate. I felt that his character wasn't as deep as Quinn but perhaps it's because she was the emotional rollercoaster and he was the steady, solid rock in her life. I loved the secondary characters, especially Arlo the camp assistant, Doc and his wife Judy, and Otis.

If you enjoy contemporary romance with faith and hope, you'll love this book. Though it's book 3 in the author's Laurel Cove Romance, it is a stand-alone. I received the book from the author and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are solely my own.

The second book in the Laurel Cove Romance series provides a deeply moving story about God and grief. Set in the mountains of North Carolina, I appreciated this story because I lived in the mountains of North Carolina. The devastation of losing her husband in a car accident causes Cora to grieve deeply. The pain of his past and a recent scandal causes Luke to seek peace in the place he felt peace in the past.

When a spunky senior citizen enters the mix, the power of God helps move Cora and Luke to work together. The imagery and emotions of this story drew me in until I finished reading. Truly, this story brought to life the concept of grief and peace. So check it out for yourself.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but it in no way influenced my review. All opinions are my own.
