Audubon's Great National Work: The Royal Octavo… por Ron Tyler
Another book I finally took the time to read cover-to-cover instead of just dipping into for reference. A must-read for anyone with an interest in the octavo edition of Audubon's Birds, filled with excellent useful details about the production of the volumes and their subsequent editions.
A collection of the voices of over 100 elderly, former slaves in which they describe what life was like under slavery in Texas. The narrations were collected by WPA interviewers in the late 1930's
