I just can't with this book.

In loo of a review I'm going to leave you with this quote from the book. No spoilers, but this quote pretty much sums up the tone of the entire story.

(Set up: this is a guy she has met twice, and this woman is supposed to be full blown adult.)

I can’t make my feet work. My brain is foggy the nearer Logan is. I came here to have an intelligent discussion, but I am not sure I can work out simple arithmetic at this point.

His physique combined with the uniform is a sight my brain cannot comprehend. I am either going to faint or throw up if he doesn’t go away.

Winifred fans me. “Goodness, Charlotte! You’re all flushed.”

Karen looks Logan up and down as he opens an interrogation room and escorts us inside. “You really think he’s that good looking?”

I keel over. “I’m going to be sick.”

Logan touches my elbow, and I swear, my vision tunnels. “Are you alright?” Heat ricochets through my body. My heart hammers so hard and fast; I am certain he can hear the affect he has on my most vital organ.

I shoot away from him. “Oh! You can’t touch me like that. It’s too much!”

“I’m sorry?” Logan looks truly at a loss.

I put up my hand to block out the sight of his beautiful face, my chin turned to the side.

“You’re too pretty. We’ve been over this. If you don’t want me to throw up all over this table, send your dad in while you wait outside or something. I’m telling you, I can’t, and this is important.”

Karen’s laughter rings in my ears while Winifred chortles slowly.

Logan’s voice is gentle with a heavy tease to it. “You’re not serious. I’m not… No one has ever…” He takes a step toward me.

I dash to the corner like a criminal trying to escape the law. “I’m telling you, if you come near me, I will barf on your table!”

I was desperately needing something light, cozy and funny to read and this was perfect.
Charlotte leaves Chicago to come to Sweetwater Falls to help care for her Aunt Winnie. Or is it the other way around? On the first day in town, Charlotte discovers a body who just happened to be Winnie's beau. The Sheriff suspects Winnie and Charlotte is determined to prove that her aunt couldn't have murdered the man.
Charlotte meets Winnie's zany friends (the Live Forever Club). These 80+ year old ladies will make you laugh… (más)

This book was absolutely adorable and so, so, so much fun. I totally geeked out on it. I saw my friends and myself in Yani and 100% saw us making this road trip. As a matter of fact, I was thinking of the places we'd visit if we did this. But what was even more fun was seeing the books (and the places) from Yani's friends point-of-view. I laughed and loved every minute of that because I know that most times when I do get one of my friends to read one of my lowly YA books they come away admitting that it's "really not that bad."

I bought this book as an ebook but definitely will order a paper copy just so I can put it on my shelf and tell people that they have to read it when they ask me about it - which is the one advantage to have paper copies of books over ebooks on shelves. I highly recommend this fun, light and easy read to all fans of YA books - especially older fans that take some ribbing from your friends for still reading YA books.… (más)

Let me tell you..... I LOVED THIS BOOK. The characters are amazing, and the love triangle is delicious. I love each character for separate reasons, but Salem is my favorite for sure. The plot captures your attention and refuses to let it go. I did nothing today but sit and read this book. If you're on the fence about reading it... GO READ IT RIGHT NOW. Seriously you will not regret it. I was a little iffy on the whole reverse harem thing but it ended up being a dream come true. Now if only I could find my own shifter, vampire, and fae trio… (más)
