This book is a collection of six other books that had been previously printed. It is marvelously illustrated with gorgeous diagrams and pictures of the idea or thing. Book II, in particular, is quite charming in its presentation with a tiny cartoon wizard and other characters.

So the book goes through Proof in Mathematics, Useful Mathematical Formulae, Chemistry, Biology put in terms of evolution, The Human Body, and Astronomy. The final part is an appendix that contains physical constants, a table of different units, a table of the qualities of a few of the Hadrons, common weights and measures, mathematical expansions, Carbon Chemistry, Electron Orbitals, and other things that make this book quite fascinating.

It goes by pretty quickly since a lot of the book is made up of one page having text and the next page having images. Still, it manages to cram an incredible amount of information into it.… (más)
