Tevi Troy, Ph.D., a senior fellow at Hudson Institute, is the rare presidential historian who has also served as a high-level White House aide. He earned his doctorate in American Civilization at the University of Texas at Austin and is the author of Intellectual and the American Presidency. This was an interesting look at rivalries that existed within the White House. It is told through numerous anecdotes, and because of the nature of this topic, it is difficult to know the full story behind the relationships at issue. Nevertheless, Troy draws conclusions about what most fuels unhelpful rivalries in the White House (1. Divergent political views among staff. 2. A president that does not discourage infighting. 3.
