A good book. I battled a bit with the voodoo scenes but they were part of the context. Grann and Deolina's relationship made for some comic moments.

Quick read of a new to me author. This is the first book in a series about Plunder Cove, run by RW Harper. Matt Harper was shipped off to the Air Force to keep him away from his sweetheart Julia Espinoza. 10 years later Matt comes home and reconnects with Julia. Lots of confusion in the story between characters from what happened in the past, I think a lot of it is setup for future books. I did enjoy the story and can't wait to see what happens next!
