I really loved this book, it had all the elements of a fantastic YA fantasy. Jo and Victoria are sisters who couldn’t be more different. When their mother dies, and they are forced to face the truth of their origins, they are brought into a world they never would’ve guessed existed. Within the world, they each have their own roles, one as a Reaper and one as a Guardian.

Jo was my favorite character. She was feisty and strong. She did not back down even when other characters did.

The thing that bothered me about this book though was the two six month jumps within the story. The first is when Jo is first brought into the Reaper world and the second is just after she begins reaping. I feel as if a lot of the story is lost for these jumps. These time periods would’ve shown some real character development and would’ve helped the reader to divulge into this book’s world more thoroughly. With the time skip, I felt as if there was a bit of an info dump to explain it all, and it’s a shame because the book has so much going for it.

Good book

I enjoyed this book. The author told a beautiful story, at one point I had to force myself to put it down so I could sleep. I will continue reading her work.

I Received this ARC in exchange for an honest review and this author never disappointed me with her snarky and witty story! Nineteen year old Morgan Brooks was said to be a "channel" where she can see demons that invaded Denver and send them back to the underworld where they belong, but they never stay for long. She already experienced more death than she could handle, especially after her dark angel gets killed while he helped her. She knows that not staying in one place too long is the only way to survive and living on the cold streets and never getting close to another being is best for her as the demons will kill anything and anyone that gets too close.

Lucien, a dark angel has been sent to keep Morgan safe, but the teenager knows how to make herself scarce! Guess her two previous reincarnations has given her the edge, but once he finds her she made him keep her dog with him where Lucy will be safe but he never expected to feel anything for this slip of a girl. Can he convince her they will work better as a team and win her heart?

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Lovers of the paranormal.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was creepy, sexy and action packed. Damien was well written and the romance felt believable. I really enjoyed the effort put into the underlying lore of the story. The use of a stained glass window was extremely well done.

Isobel was credible as a heroine, scared but willing to succeed. While she was rescued a couple of times, I never felt that she fell into the 'Damsel in distress' trap and by the end of the book, she had matured immeasurably.

All in all, I totally recommend Bound in Time and I would definitely read anything else by this author.
