This book is one of the most valuable in my library.

I had the profound pleasure and honor to know Larry Turner. (Actually, it was Dr. Larry Turner, but I did not know that for almost two years after I met him. It simply was not important to him. He was known throughout the church as Larry.) Larry died on August 27, 2006, in the crash of Comair Flight 5191. The tragedy shook the community to the core.

But this book is not about the sadness and loss of loved ones. It is a challenge to meet life with the same spirit and grace as Larry. Larry was the gentlest, humblest man I have ever met, and the most Christ-like. He was a true follower of Christ, an intellectual, and a wonderful family man. The book traces Larry's life and the challenges he faced. Larry faced them with grace, humility, and a sense of humor. And always with the love of God.
