"The Brothers Next Door" is the last book I read in March. Yes, it is a sexy time, but for me, it is a 2.5-stars because there was a lot of miscommunication between all parties. Notably, on the menage part, usually, that kind of relationship the communication part is significant.
The ending felt a little rushed, and would have liked to see the scene play out before the end.
I have a hard time liking a woman who is too afraid to speak up for herself.
I might try to read other works by Terry Towers, but it will take me some time.… (más)

Faith è una giovane madre single, al giovane dopo il parto (avvenuto un anno prima) si ritrova da sola e senza un soldo e sommersa dai debiti. Un giorno mentre è in una mensa la ragazza si ritrova in difficoltà non avendo abbastanza soldi per pagare le cose ordinate, in suo aiuto però compare Eric, uomo misterioso che non esita a dare una mano alla mamma in difficoltà. Ben presto però ci rendiamo conto che Eric non è un santarellino che ama aiutare giovani madri in difficoltà bensì è un riccastro con una particolare perversione ovvero quella di bere il latte materno direttamente dal seno della donna e perché no farsela. L'uomo proporrà a Faith di vivere come una principessa, spesata di tutto e mantenuta a patto che la donna gli conceda questo privilegio. Faith accetterà?
Chi ha anche solo pensato che una donna in un libro erotico possa avere un sussulto di orgoglio e non farsi mettere le mani addosso dal primo porco/ricco/maniaco dovrà nuovamente rassegnarsi. Purtroppo in questi libri c'è anche l'ammore e come può la solita protagonista sprovveduta innamorarsi del porco della situazione? Non può ovvio!
Questo libro mi ha inquietata... un sacco. Ammetto di non essere una di quelle ragazzotte che si scandalizzano quando si parla di sesso, anzi, solitamente il "famolo strano" mi stuzzica ed attira ma certe "perversioni" proprio non mi vanno giù. Non voglio giudicare nessuno, sicuramente ci saranno uomini che veramente sentono questo "bisogno" ma... orrore... cosa c'è di eccitante o sexy in una cosa del genere? Posso capire il feticismo per, che so le mani, i piedi, il seno ecc ma queste perversioni non riesco a digerirle e non capisco come le donne possano trovare eccitante un libro del genere... potrei capire se il libro fosse rivolto a un pubblico maschile, se fosse uno di quei porno illeggibili in cui vengono presentate le peggio cose del mondo, quei porno che mischiano le spie story al sesso, avrei potuto capire l'eccitazione che forse un uomo potrebbe provare leggendolo ma una donna? Ci sono davvero donne che si eccitano ad immaginare un uomo che le "munge" come fossero mucche? Può una donna che allatta trovarlo eccitante? Mah ho i miei dubbi.
Per il resto non so che dire, i protagonisti non sono per nulla caratterizzati, non sappiamo praticamente nulla di loro se non che lei è rimasta incinta mentre studiava e ha utilizzato il prestito studentesco per comprare l'occorrente per la figlia e che nessuno se la fila (né i ragazzi né i parenti) e che lui è ricco da far schifo e con problemi (per me sono problemi, scusate se non sono g-g-giovane), non c'è trama, non c'è emozione, è scritto semplicemente e da una che è definita come autrice di best seller ci si aspetterebbe molto di più e l'eccitazione dopo aver scoperto la mania del protagonista maschile è andata sotto i tacchi.
Risultato? Pessimo sotto ogni punto di vista. Non mi sento di consigliarlo a nessuno almeno che condividiate la stessa "mania" del protagonista... in quel caso andrete in brodo di giuggiole... forse.… (más)
