One aspect that I noticed about this retelling that I thought was worth mentioning was the fact that it was never explained WHY the duck "turned into" a swan. The author never explicitly stated that it was a swan egg that was misplaced in the duck egg nest. I may be looking too far into this, but if I had read this as a child without knowing the original fairy tale, I would have thought that the duck magically turned into a swan, rather than him being a swan the whole time.… (más)
