Philip Teece

Jack Newton was a pioneer in capturing deep-sky objects on sensitized emulsions. He has since moved into digital detectors but at the zenith of his film work, he collaborated with Teece on this pictoral cataloge of deep sky objects. This book showed dedicated amateur astronomers that with some equipment and a lot of perseverence they could capture images of most deep sky objects.

Newton's photos were taken on sensitized color film and are each printed with a reference map Prior to the digital detector age, this book provided images that showed the amateur what deep sky objects would look like when photographed through a 16-20 inch aperture scope.… (más)
