William A. Taylor

A short and subject focused history on George Marshall and his impact on the early Cold War. I typically read straight forward biography but this book is oriented topically by chapter and each chapter is written by a different author.

3) His endorsement for an independent Air Force
4) Marshall's contribution to the implementation of the National Security Act
5) His take on the use of Nuclear Weapons
6) The European Recovery Program (The Marshall Plan)
7) The creations of NATO
8) The Korean War
9) Integration of the U.S. Armed Forces

I would recommend this book because it is an interesting interpretation on Marshall's impact on important post World War II subjects, that sometimes reflect on World War II.
