This is the story of a traditional white family learning to understand what the Lord's Prayer means. It achieves its goal but is very much of its time, the early 1960s.
This is a charming little book I just picked up at the thrift shop. The author Florence Taylor who was 75 yrs old at the time she wrote this, gives advice for seniors and relects upon her long life. Although this book is 40 yrs old now many of Taylor's thoughts and advice and still relevent today. She had a wonderful out look on her long life. I felt somewhat sad in reading this as I know she must have died many years ago, but the beauty of being an author or an artist is that you work can go on forever. I wonder what she would think of a young man reading and enjoying her book decades later. I think she has a smile on her face.… (más)
