This year we celebrate the centenary of Scots literary icon Muriel Spark. Most famous for The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Muriel is the author of 22 widely acclaimed novels as well as countless short stories, journalism and letters.
Journalist and writer Alan Taylor interviewed Muriel in 1990 and a friendship blossomed. He has documented her life and this relationship in new book Appointment in Arezzo: A Friendship with Muriel Spark Alan will be in conversation at Falkirk Library on Monday March 26th at 7pm. You'll have the chance to purchase the book and have it signed.
