Raina Sun Louie is a Chinese American married to a homicide detective (Matthew Louie). They are on honeymoon in Hawai'i on the cheap by staying with relatives. This book was frustrating. It left too many unanswered questions. And not the fun plot developing ones that make you want to read the next book, but the why wasn't this story line filled in any where ones. The mystery aspect was intriguing enough to continue the book through the end.

Cousin Stella has the license, but Lucy has the ability (despite having another career awaiting her back home). A local no-goodnik with a therapy chicken is murdered and that opens up a real can of worms. This series is not as laugh-out-loud funny as the author's other, but it certainly does have its moments. Cedar Woods is going through major life changes courtesy of her ex-husband and his trophy wife. She does not yet realize what a MAJOR lifeline her quirky Aunt Coco has given her even as a dead body is soon followed by finding out that the local law is headed by her former enemy from school.
