"Made in Korea" was a super cute YA romance which I thoroughly enjoyed. At the start I found Valerie hard to like as she was selfish and obsessively ambitious, only seeing people as customers or hinderances. However, she did mature throughout the novel, learnt from her mistakes and became a better person.

Wes, on the other hand, was adorable from the moment I met him. I loved his slightly nerdy personality and his social awkwardness but what I liked most was his love of music (he was a talented saxophonist) and his desire to please people. He was a wonderful influence of Valerie. In the beginning I couldn't feel the chemistry between Wes and Valerie but then it just clicked and their romance developed in an authentic manner.

However, my favourite character in this novel was Valerie's grandmother. I just adored her! She was always there for Valerie and their relationship was beautiful.

I thought the author finished the novel well and left this reader with a smile on her face. A sweet read.… (más)
