Theodore Sturgeon was born Edward Hamilton Waldo in New York City on February 26, 1918. He sold his first short story, Heavy Insurance, while serving in the United States Merchant Marine from 1935 to 1938. He won numerous awards including the 1954 International Fantasy Award for More than Human, mostrar más the 1970 Nebula and Hugo Awards for Slow Sculpture, and the 1985 World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement. He was inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame in 2000. He died of pneumonia in Eugene, Oregon on May 8, 1985. Más que humano por Theodore Sturgeon
Más que humano es la historia de un grupo de personajes que no encuentran su papel en la sociedad. Lone es un ser solitario, pero todo cambia cuando encuentra a otros personajes tan solitarios como él. Junto a Janie, las mellizas Beanie y Bonnie y el bebé, y gracias a sus increíbles capacidades psíquicas, conformará un ser único, capaz de vivir apartado de un mundo al que no pertenece.
En este debut novelístico, Theodore Sturgeon, recoge la cautivadora historia de Horty, el huérfano que huye de sus padres adoptivos con todo lo que tiene, su muñeco Junky, de misteriosos ojos de cristal, y a quien el destino une a un grupo de fenómenos de feria. Entre ellos conocerá por primera vez el amor y la comprensión, pero también deberá participar en la lucha contra el malvado Monetre.
