Kenneth Arthur Stroud (1908–2000)

Struggling to teach myself electromagnetism (for fun), I bought this book to get my maths to a sufficient level.

The book uses program learning, and step by step teaches the subject matter needed to go further. It is suitable as a self-study text. I find I need to refer to some more elementary text for gaps in my knowledge. (The same Authors "Engineering Mathematics" is suitable.)

I believe a motivated learner could use the book to advance their skills beyond school leaving level, and provide them with a toolkit for studying engineering or physics. A mathematics student might want something more conceptual.
