Bruno and The beach : The beachcombers at 40 por Marc Strange
I remember this being on as a kid. I didn't like Relic much so I didn't pay much attention. However, having gone down a rabbit hole recently and been reminded of the show, I wanted to know more about it. And this book delivers. Co-written by one of the stars and one of the co-creators, with input from many other cast and crew, it's a comprehensive look at the show and it's impact on the Vancouver film industry. (They called it going to UBC - University of Beachcombers.) There's even a direct link between this show and my beloved Stargate SG1. May need to look at the show again.… (más)
A pretty good mystery that is enhanced by a realistic set of surrounding characters. The main character has a lot of personal issues that feel real and are handled in a realistic manner. The mystery itself almost felt needlessly convoluted, but was still interesting.
This book has too many commas & too few periods, keep away if comma splices bug you. ;-) Otherwise, I can certainly recommended it. Its plot was engaging enough for me to overlook little problems. MORE than engaging enough. At first I wanted to know what the hell was going on; then I wanted to see how it all played out. So many villains! I really liked Stacy and Adele. Good book.
Really a good mystery, the classic story of a group of criminals who fall out, echoes of Elmore Leonard and some other creepy characters,notably the brother who has underground tunnels.
