Everything turns out to be a bit of a crazy mess, full of vodou magic, music, sex and family drama. Will the demons find their place in the Universe? Have they found their soul mates.

The story switches from the point of view of each of the main characters, covering the past and present, allowing the plot to transition smoothly to its inevitable conclusions. All of the characters are wonderfully flawed and both likeable and frustrating at the same time.

"Walking on Sunshine" by Jennifer Stevenson is Book Four in the Slacker Demons series. I must confess that this is the first one I have read, and although I suspect that the earlier novels give a lot of background to the story, they can be read as stand alone novels. liked this story, but I'm not an Eastern India, I was clueless about their gods. I loved that Kamadeva, a defrocked Hindu god of sensual love waited over for six thousand years to reclaim his wife . As he waited, and searched for her, he only had one night stands with every woman to know that she was not his wife and he moved on. I liked that attorney, RathiRaani Singh, a thirtyish virgin She was sent at nine to Los Angeles to live with her aunt and held to her virgin beliefs, but one touch from Kama had her senses up in flames! She had no memory that he was her husband and thought he was a slacker that wasted his parent's money by working in the mail room.… (más)

Chloe is just your average girl, dealing with heartbreak of failed relationship after failed relationship. Archie is her bartender, listening to her woes, time and time again. He might just be crushing on her... Oh... and he's a sex demon.

So the premise might seem a little corny, but I thought this was a really good book. I took me a little longer to read, but only because my kids kept distracting me and not letting me read. Otherwise it would've been read in 2 days tops. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
