I'm so pleasantly surprised. An entire series of historical romance stories about women and men over the age of 18. I'm a fan of them all but let's face it, I'm no spring chicken. I could identify with thoughts, problems, and even wishes of the "older" set. Well done to the authors of this collaboration.

To Hell And Back by Annabelle Anders.
Eve Mossant's estranged husband has, finally, died. She's on her way to the country estate for the funeral and reading of the will. Her husband had fallen so far down a rabbit hole that all Eve could feel was relief that it was all finally over. She's brought along her "man of business" Niles Waverly. He's been strong, dependable, honest, trustworthy, all good things one looks for in a man. A twist of fate has them thrown, literally, together for several days. Each one lets down their guard and admits that their attraction may lead to so much more.

Heart of Decadence by Jenna Jaxon.
Miss Amelia Burrows had the worst come-out season ever. The man she wants to marry falls off the face of the earth and then her fiancée up and dies. Somehow all this becomes Amelia's fault(??) and she's ruined in the eyes of the ton. 10 years later her mother has dragged her back to London for an arranged marriage (yucky guy). Who shows up but Nathan Locke, Lord Ainsley, the long lost beau. They discover that sparks still exist and it won't take much for it burst into flames. Nathan feels partly responsible for Amelia being an outcast and sets about to right a wrong. If he wants to marry her he needs to clean up his mess.

Mrs. Sartin's Secretary by Wendy LaCapra.
Mrs. Amelia Sartin is a widow running her late husbands company until the heir's trained. Matthew Bellany is her husbands protege and now trusted right-hand-man. He's crazy about her and needs her to see him as a grown man. She's a decade older but once "convinced" by Matthew, begins to see a new future.

A Letter From A Lady by Cynthia Sterling.
Lady Clarissa Delawares husband ran off 5 years ago with the creditors hot on his tail. Viscount Adam Kendrick's looking for his brother, who may be with the missing husband. Mix in four loveable elderly folks and love finds a way and is funny too.

A Lady Of Courage by Catherine Tinley.
Widowed Lady Elizabeth Hunter Milford has spent a very long time with a secret. After being coerced into accompaning her daughter to London, she must confront old demons, hurts and misunderstandings. The lovely Mr. Charles Thornton, a friend from the past, is ready, willing, and eager to help. The next book up is The Captian's Disgraced Lady with Lizzie's daughter.

A Lady's Guide To Marriage by Tabetha Waite.
For Lady Albina and Lord Michael Baine love has gotten lost in the everyday minutia of life. Stubborn pride and little communication skills, both of them, makes reconnecting awkard but we do finally get our happy ending.

It was a pleasant time spent reading mature romances by several talented writers. It's nice to know that not everyone thinks life is over at 30. Happy reading.

This was a sweet, and entertaining romantic read. Two characters who grew up in a sheltered world, trained to be the aristocrat their parents wanted for them, find each other in Texas on a ranch.
